World Cup Sweepstake App
A 100+ player sweepstake that would have been a spreadsheet nightmare, run as a live app instead.
The problem
A private sweepstake with over a hundred players is fine right up until the first set of results comes in.
Then it becomes one person manually matching entries to teams, recalculating points, rewriting a league table, and answering the same three questions in a group chat for a month.
What I built
A web app that handles entries, team allocation, match results, points, rankings and live standings.
Results go in once. Everything downstream — every player total, the full table, each person's own position — recalculates from that single input. The organiser stopped being the bottleneck, and players stopped asking, because they could just look.
See it working
This one runs on private data, so there is no public demo.
What changed
The tournament ran without a single manual table rebuild. The interesting part was that engagement went up: when standings are live, people check them.
